چکیده
Background: Hypotension is commonly occurred with Spinal anesthesia. Colloids and Crystalloids are used preoperatively to prevent hypotension. Objective: To examine the effect of fluid (crystalloid vs. colloid) preloading on hemodynamic stability in old patients planned for lower limb orthopedic operations spinal Patients methods: Eighty undergoing surgery under anesthesia were included this work. Their age ranged between 60-80 years. allocated randomly either Crystalloid (Ringer solution RS group) or Colloid (hydroxyethyl starch HES group). Intravenous preload 10 mL/kg lactated Ringer's group hydroxyethyl (6% 130/0.4; Voluven) was infused over 20 min before anesthesia.. Hemodynamic parameters recorded, all results compared. Results: More than 20% drop systolic blood pressure 45% crystalloid compared 15% colloid group. This difference significant statistically (p < 0.01). Regarding requirement ephedrine treat hypotension, (45% required Ephedrine also Conclusion: better controlling pressure, requirements heart rate changes.

Crystalloid and colloid preload for maintaining cardiac output in elderly patients undergoing total hip replacement under spinal anesthesia
The aim of the present study was to compare the effects of colloid and crystalloid preload on cardiac output (CO) and incidence of hypotension in elderly patients under spinal anesthesia (SA). A randomized, double-blinded study was conducted including 47 elderly patients undergoing scheduled total hip replacement (THR), who were randomized to three groups: the control group (C group, n = 15), c...

The effects of crystalloid and colloid preload on cardiac output in the parturient undergoing planned cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia: a randomized trial.
BACKGROUND Hypotension after spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery remains a major clinical problem. Fluid preloading regimens together with vasopressors have been used to reduce its incidence. Previous studies have used noninvasive arterial blood pressure measurement and vasopressor requirements to evaluate the effect of preload. We used a suprasternal Doppler flow technique to measure mater...
متن کاملComparison of postanesthetic complaints after general and spinal anesthesia in patients undergoing lower limb surgery.
BACKGROUND The choice of anesthesia is one of the most important decisions made by anesthesiologists after preoperative visits with orthopedic patients. No published study has yet quantified the incidence of postanesthetic complaints for either technique. The present study was designed to compare the incidences of postanesthetic complaints after the application of the standardized techniques of...

Background and Purpose: The operating room environment is one of the stressful places. Listening to the Holy Quran can produce a comforting effect in this environment. In this study, the effect of listening to the Holy Quran on vital signs and physiological changes was investigated in the patients undergoing orthopedic surgery in Shahid Rajaee Hospital of Qazvin, Iran. Materials and Methods: T...
